One of my favorite form factors so far of upcoming Windows 8 devices is in this group from ASUS.

ASUS Transformer AiO – labeled the world’s first all in one PC with a detachable tablet this beast has an 18.4 inch HD IPS display with a 178 degree viewing angle.  It is powered by a third gen Intel Core  with NVIDIA GT 730M graphics card. This tablet also brings a uniqueness to the genre with its self-contained Android 4.1 tablet with an NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad core processor that can be accessed with the touch of a button. Yes – it has a built in handle to help you carry all 18.4 inches of it around as well as a built in stand to hold it up. This may be one of the only tablets that could really give you gorilla arms carrying it around and using it in tablet mode!

ASUS Transformer Book – known as an ultraportable that’s both tablet and notebook.  This is a 13.3-inch tablet with 3rd generation Intel® Core™ i5 or i7 processor, has a 128GB SSD and Full HD multi-touch IPS display. When you plug it into its keyboard dock it has a backlit keyboard, touchpad, and an additional 500GB hard drive. The dock also has an additional battery and additional ports including USB 3.0.

ASUS Taichi – here is an ultrabook that has a dual screen. It has a third gen Intel Core processor, SSD and comes in either 11.6 inch and 13.3 inch back to back full HD IPS displays.  When docked it also has a backlit keyboard, multi-touch touchpad. Close the lid and you now have a tablet with multi-touch and an included stylus.  The dual screens can be used at the same time to display info to someone on the other side of this setup in laptop mode. The two screens are treated as separate displays so you can display different things on each one.

ASUS ZenBook Touch – they say this one is one of the most advanced ultrabook’s available. It comes in two screen sizes of 13.3 inch (the UX31A) and 15.6 inch (U500VZ) which are both multi-touch fill HD IPS displays.  The UX31A as either a third gen Intel Core i5 or i7 with up to 8GB of RAM and a 356GB SSD. The U500VZ has an Intel Core i7 quad core processor, 8GB of RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GT650M graphics and has dual 256GB SSD’s in a RAID 0 configuration.

ASUS VivoBook – this is their all around notebook for mainstream users. Screen size ranges from 11.6 to 15.6 inch, has a third gen Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 processor, NVIDIA graphics on some of the models with multi touch displays. Each VivoBook comes with 32GB of ASUS WebStorage which is free for three years.
