I served for 29 plus years in the U.S. Navy and retired as a Master Chief Petty Officer in August 2011.

My work background in the Navy was telecommunications related so my hobby of computers fit well in what I did for the Navy. I consider myself a tech geek and enjoy most things in that arena.

My first website – AnotherWin95.com – came online in 1995. Back then I used GeoCities Web Hosting for it and Windows Observer is the result of the work I have done on this site since 1995.

Before joining Microsoft in October 2021, I was a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) for various Windows award categories from 2010 to 2021. In addition, I was an inaugural member of the Windows Insider MVP group of awardees from 2016 to 2021.

I previously hosted the Observed Tech PODCAST which was a look at all things tech with a decidedly Microsoft angle however, all subjects were discussed including security, social media, hardware, software and anything tech-ish! This show ended its run in June 2019.

I now host the Faith, Tech, and Space PODCAST which retains the subject areas of tech and space but now includes how faith, both personal and in general, is impacted by technology.

My other area of passion is space, as in Low Earth Orbit and Outer. I have attended five official #NASATweetup #NASASocial events as well as many unofficial gatherings related to our Space Program.

I am also an amateur photographer learning my way around my second DSLR camera – a Nikon D5100.

My wife and I are avid Harley Davidson fans and we put miles on a 2007 Ultra Classic every chance we get.
