Another tidbit of Windows Phone news out of Las Vegas yesterday comes from Huawei as they demoed the Ascend W1 Windows Phone to attendees at the Pepcom Digital Experience.

Earlier in the day Huawei held a press conference where they showed of some other phones but not the Ascend W1 as most expected. Turns out they decided to show it to folks later in the day in a more intimate one on one environment.

According to Alex Wagner’s story at Phonedog the phone has a four inch 800×480 display, 5 megapixel camera on the back and a .3 megapixel camera on the front side.  It runs on a 1.2GHZ dual core processor and has a 1,950mAh battery, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage. The phone will have a microSD slot so that storage can be easily expanded.

It is scheduled to arrive in the US this year but no pricing or specific carrier info is being released at the moment.
