All gifts are supposed to be a surprise of sorts aren’t they?
Well Flickr has done just that by surprising all of its users with three free months of access to Flickr Pro whether they are already a member of the pro subscription plan or not.
The Yahoo! owned service notified users as they logged in to the service starting yesterday. Now this appears to be an Opt In thing so if you have not received any notice from Flickr yet then you need to log into your Flickr account so you can accept the gift. One click is all it takes.
The three months of Flickr Pro normally costs $6.95 or $24.95 per year.
Here is how the free Flickr membership compares to the Flickr Pro option:

I have been a member of Flickr Pro for a couple of years now and it is an excellent deal in my opinion. You can check out my collection of photos at http://www.flickr.com/photos/hayhousehold/
