Well after the trials and tribulations of dealing with Twitter’s refusal to grant their free version of Tweetro and user token exemption the developers at Lazyworm Apps have come to market with their paid version.

Check out the description that accompanies the new version:

Description

Tweetro+ is an elegant Twitter client for Windows 8 and regarded by many as the best Twitter experience on the platform.
Included in purchase:

– Exclusive access to Tweetro+ (limited number of installs)
– 2 Twitter account slots (you can add up to 5 via in-app purchase)

DISCLAIMER: We cannot guarantee that this app will continue to function in the same way that it does in its purchased state (subject to any changes in Twitter’s API, rules and regulations).

I like the disclaimer and who can blame them however, of more importance it appears you can use two accounts with the straight up paid version and then three more via in-app purchases.  Also the limited number of installs should match up to standard Windows Store policies which allows you to install a paid app on up to five devices.

May not be the most ideal situation for the developers to have to ask for the money like this but they will now have to pay Twitter for the ability to access their API.

Everyone who is currently using the free version of Tweetro will also be unable to access the Twitter service because all user tokens must be revoked for that version.

Note: The reason a trial is not offered is because a trial would be a lost token if it did not convert into a purchase and, according to Lazyworm Apps via Twitter, they do not want to lose the limited stock of user tokens they have.

The $9.99 cost is currently an early Bird special for two weeks and for existing Tweetro customers. You can read more here – http://tweetroapp.com/tweetroPlus.html
