After opening up their first closed beta download just last week the Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) Team has now made the beta download available to everyone.

Steve Jobs Facebook Scams Already Popping Up

PandaLabs reports they have detected a malicious link spreading across Facebook which is being used to take advantage of the news yesterday concerning Steve Jobs death.

They are apparently using a Facebook page which contains a URL along with a description that states iPads were being given away in memory of Steve . . .

Security Engine Update Due on 23 February 2011

Over at the Antimalware Engine Notifications they announced an update to the antimalware engine that powers Microsoft Security Essentials, Forefront Client Security and Forefront Endpoint Security.

The update is expected in the middle of next week and the version is expected to be in the range of 1.1.660X.0.
