Welcome to Episode 10 of the Faith, Tech, and Space PODCAST. Scheduling recordings are still a challenge but one we will get figured out. I lead off with the latest around my formation and the completion of year number one and I share where we are at in the church calendar. On the tech side we kick off with the latest Windows and Edge Insiders news including the latest releases. The big news on this front is the release of the Windows 10 May 2020 Update and the roll out for new Edge (Stable Channel). Then I talk about BUILD 2020, software installs, channel updates for Microsoft 365, Xbox gaming news, and new Surface hardware reviews. In space we have launches all over the place including the SpaceX Demo 2 mission with two American astronauts onboard. I close the show with some thoughts on the Black Lives Matter movement and how I am choosing to learn and be a better ally.

This week we have our normal collection of updates for Windows Insiders with the latest builds and progress across a couple of development branches for Windows 10 and Microsoft Edge (Chromium). However, I begin with an explanation of the final state of my link curation process to avoid Twitter’s aggressive algorithms plus I get on my soapbox about headlines and misdirection with one privacy related story I read this week. After that it is our normal weekly run down of updates around apps, services, security, hardware, social media, and gaming. At the end of it all I mention a couple of space items that you should be aware of as the next five years are going to be crazy as NASA heads back to the moon! We were supposed to be kicking this show off with all the details around the launch of the Windows 10 October 2018 Update along with the news from the Microsoft hardware/software event held in New York City this past week. We will still talk about those events however, it will be tempered with the fact that this sixth feature update’s roll out has been halted by Microsoft. We will discuss the reasons behind that abrupt change and other aspects of the roll out. Still, despite that breaking news from late last week about this update, the announcements made at the New York City event were significant. What we heard and saw about new hardware and software from Microsoft were important elements of the companies strategy moving forward and answers a few questions about the future.
