In an email to existing SkyDrive users Microsoft has announced that the hand over from SkyDrive to OneDrive is beginning soon.
In the coming weeks you’ll notice a change happening. SkyDrive will become OneDrive, an even better place to store and share your favorite things across all of your favorite devices. But don’t worry, during this transition you’ll still be able to access all of your photos, videos, documents, and files.
With Microsoft’s moving forward with the branding change for their cloud storage service it would seem that the concerns about copyright, ownership and usage of the OneDrive moniker is a mute point.
The OneDrive version of Microsoft’s cloud storage will apparently bring new features according to our friends at Liveside such as co-owned folders and referral/usage storage bonuses.
