It is interesting to watch Microsoft and Sony as we approach the launch of the next generation gaming consoles from each company.

Dating back to E3 it seems Sony’s marketing strategy is to wait for Microsoft to announce or confirm some item for the Xbox One console and then they come out and announce the opposite.

For example, in the last 48 hours Microsoft confirmed that some features such as Skype and game recording/streaming will require an Xbox Live Gold subscription to access them.

Then today Sony comes out and says that their game streaming and recording feature will not be behind their PlayStation Plus network subscription.

So the next thing you should expect to see from Sony is an unboxing video of the PlayStation 4 unit since Xbox Live’s Major Nelson, aka Larry Hyrb, just did one for the Xbox One.
