I just found out that some of the Windows Live Essentials 2011 programs have been updated and so I am now curious why there was not a prompt to update the suite.
I would have excepted to see those updates in Windows Update which is where the programs are normally available to Windows systems.
Anyone else get prompted for an update or is this just a quiet update?
Anyway, prior to this update I had the following Live Essentials 2011 programs at version 15.4.3502.922:
- Windows Live Writer
- Windows Live Messenger
- Windows Live Mesh
- Windows Live Photo Gallery
- Windows Live Mail
The Outlook Connector was at version 14.0.5118.5000.
After heading over to http://explore.live.com/ and downloading the updates I ended up with the following Live Essentials 2011 programs updated to version 15.4.3508.1109:
- Windows Live Writer
- Windows Live Messenger
- Windows Live Photo Gallery
- Windows Live Mail
The Outlook Connector and Windows Live Mesh remained at their previous versions.
Has anyone out there seen anything that indicates what this new build had in it? If you have seen something please post a link in the comments.
