Apparently one feature missing from OneNote 2010 is a word count function. OneNote was developed to be a note taking program and when your taking notes apparently there is not much need to know how many words you have written in a particular note.
Well Jeff Cardon, a member of the OneNote team, decided there is a purpose to having the ability to count the words in your notes.
So what did he do?
Well he created a powertoy that adds the Word Count functionality to OneNote. I love developers!
You can read more about the add in he created and download it from his post at his Word Count for OneNote 14 blog entry.
