Welcome to Episode 170 of Observed Tech.

On the eve of Microsoft’s 2015 Worldwide Partner Conference I wanted to get a show recorded to catch up on the big ticket items from the last couple of weeks.

Over that time frame there has been four desktop builds of Windows 10 released (10158, 10159, 10162 and 10166) along with a new Windows 10 Mobile build (10166).  Of course, the big news item was the Windows Phone related cuts and layoffs that Microsoft announced this past week and that is impacting nearly 8,000 employees who will soon be out of a job. I definitely wish them all good luck on their new opportunities because this is impacting people – the hardware and other concerns come second to that.

Along with those items there is also news about Office 2016, Windows 10 RTM, Windows Hello facial recognition, Groove music and a new universal Remote Desktop app for Windows 10.
