Welcome to the world of exclusives Verizon.

Verizon subscribers now have what looks like a stunning device to call their own just like AT&T users have since Windows Phone hit the market in 2010.

Exclusives are a mixed bag in my opinion, whether it be apps or devices, but it is great to see high quality devices continuing to hit the market. Maybe someday the Icon will become available to other carriers as well.

The Nokia Conversations blog has an entire post about the icon’s launch including an introductory video to the devices features (embedded below).

After reading up on the Nokia Lumia Icon and watching the video I think the best description for this device would be to say that it is to video what the Nokia Lumia 1020 was to photos.

It will be available at Verizon and Microsoft Stores for $199.99 with a two year contract.

The label flagship is used a lot these days in describing new hardware but I think its use with the Nokia Lumia Icon is justified. This is a great looking piece of hardware and I am looking forward to checking it out.
