The Nokia Lumia 900, in both black and cyan color options, are starting this week off by being on top of the Amazon Best Seller listing for phones with service plans.
Yesterday was the official retail availability date for the flagship Windows Phone but since it was the Easter holiday many stores were closed. That in turn made it tough to find the phone for those who may have wanted to buy it over the counter instead of online.
Of course these stats from Amazon only reflect sales through the online retailer and not what was sold by AT&T and Microsoft through the pre-order process.
Turns out that those who took advantage of the pre-orders from AT&T got the best deal because most of them received their phones on Friday and Saturday. That put the new handsets in their hands a full 24-48 hours before retail stores were selling them – or 48-72 hours – if today is the first day of real retail availability.
