It has been said that a lot of advertising dollars have been put towards the upcoming Nokia Lumia 900 phone release here in the US and the first indication of that campaign has come to light in the SmartPhoneBetaTest.com website. The premise is that the iPhone and other smartphones have just been real world beta tests of prototype phones.
This is also a no holds barred effort taking direct aim at issues the iPhone has had in its various releases including a shot at Antenna Gate, outdoor visibility and its tendency to break when dropped.
There are currently three videos up on the site on each of these areas:
Death Grip
Outside
Fragile
In addition to the videos the site is promoting a new Twitter hashtag #BetaPhone and at the top of the screen there is a countdown clock on the main page that looks like it ends this Friday. That is actually two days prior to the actual release date of the new AT&T Nokia Lumia 900 so it will be interesting to see what they are revealing.
