At the Microsoft Build Conference in Anaheim, California today Steven Sinofsky, President of Microsoft’s Windows and Windows Live Divisions anchored the Windows 8 keynote address. Several details about Windows 8 were shared and demoed including details relating to the Release to Manufacturing (RTM) and General Availability (GA) of Windows 8.
Near the end of the day 1 keynote he showed this slide to the audience:
He concluded with the comment that “we will be driven by quality and not a date for the release of Windows 8”.
As mentioned in an earlier post, the Windows 8 Developer Preview will be available for download later today. Specifically, he revealed that it will be online at dev.windows.com after 8 PM Pacific Time tonight or 3 AM GMT on 14 Sep.
