Let’s see Need For Speed Hot Pursuit and Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood were both released on 16 November 2010 and it looks like downloadable content (DLC) is already on the boards for them both.
Just proves what I have said before – DLC is prepared right alongside of the games and then metered out to us gamers. Of course DLC is a great way to lengthen the playability of games but it is also a way to continue getting a few bucks out of us after the initial game release.
Despite the business model there is new content coming for both of these games:
- 14 Dec 2010 – Free Assassin’s Creed- Brotherhood DLC coming Dec. 14, titled ‘Animus Project Update 1.0’ (via Joystiq)
- 16 Nov 2010 – First Need For Speed- Hot Pursuit DLC available now (via Gamerzines)
See the Need For Speed DLC was available on 16 Nov when the game came out. It is two packages where you can unlock all the vehicles on both the Cop and Racers side to speed things up. However, you cannot use the advanced cars on certain stages until it is time for them to be used on those stages.
