The November security updates are available on Windows Update and at the Microsoft Download Center. Here is a summary of the collection of updates for this Patch Tuesday:
- This tool checks your computer for infection by specific, prevalent malicious software (including Blaster, Sasser, and Mydoom) and helps to remove the infection if it is found. Microsoft will release an updated version of this tool on the second Tuesday of each month.
- This update provides the latest junk email and malicious links filter definitions for Microsoft Office 2010.

- A security vulnerability exists in Microsoft Office XP that could allow arbitrary code to run when a maliciously modified file is opened. This update resolves that vulnerability.
- This update provides the Junk E-mail Filter in Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 with a more current definition of which e-mail messages should be considered junk e-mail.
- Install this update for Windows Mail to revise the definition files that are used to detect e-mail messages that should be considered junk e-mail or that may contain phishing content.

- This update fixes critical issues in Office 2011, including issues that might cause Office 2011 applications to stop responding or quit unexpectedly.
- A security vulnerability exists in Microsoft Office 2010, 64-Bit Edition that could allow arbitrary code to run when a maliciously modified file is opened. This update resolves that vulnerability.

- A security vulnerability exists in the 2007 Microsoft Office System and the Compatibility Pack for the 2007 Office system that could allow remote code execution. This update resolves that vulnerability.
- This update provides the Junk E-mail Filter in Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 with a more current definition of which e-mail messages should be considered junk e-mail.
- A security vulnerability exists in Microsoft PowerPoint 2002 that could allow arbitrary code to run when a maliciously modified document is opened. This update resolves that vulnerability.
- A security vulnerability exists in Microsoft Office PowerPoint Viewer 2007 that could allow arbitrary code to run when a maliciously modified file is opened. This update resolves that vulnerability.
- A security vulnerability exists in Microsoft Office 2003 that could allow arbitrary code to run when a maliciously modified file is opened. This update resolves that vulnerability.
