Microsoft has entered into the political social media arena by offering the code for Microsoft TownHall.
The code provides the framework for a site that allows politicians to engage their constituents on the issues during both election campaigns and after they are in office.
It makes a lot of sense if you look at how many people go online to voice their opinion – although personally I think that tends to be skewed to the negative side. Who goes online to praise a situation? Most people go online to complain.
Connect with voters online!
A successful campaign depends on real connections with voters. Use Microsoft TownHall to scale your communication online, aggregate feedback, and gain voter insight.
Of course it uses the cloud which is the in thing to do as well.
Some of the info they are providing for you to review:
- Explore TownHall online (A demo website)
- Get the facts (a download Word document file with details)
