After an out of band update was released for a critical IE Zero Day flaw late last month the security update machine marches forward with this month’s regularly scheduled Patch Tuesday updates.
According to the Microsoft security bulletin advance notification for October 2012 there are seven bulletins being addressed with next week’s Patch Tuesday updates and impact the following Microsoft products:
- Microsoft Office
- Microsoft Server
- Microsoft Lync
- Microsoft Windows
- Microsoft SQL Server
One bulletin is labeled Critical and the other six are considered Important. It does not appear that any of these updates impact Windows 8, Internet Explorer or the Office 2013 preview.
As a reminder there will be a webcast about these updates:
Microsoft will host a webcast to address customer questions on the security bulletins on October 10, 2012, at 11:00 AM Pacific Time (US & Canada). Register now for the October Security Bulletin Webcast. After this date, this webcast is available on-demand.
