With all the recent news about fake verified Twitter accounts I guess we have to be even more cautious when new accounts pop up like this one supposedly from Gary Larson.
However, this account does not have a verified badge on it nor does it indicate that it is a parody account which Twitter’s Terms of Service stipulate it must so that still makes this account questionable.
The account is quite new with the first tweet being sent on 15 Dec and only seven more since then and all of those have been after the new year began. The tweets are sending out what appear to be ideas for cartoons however, a quick search shows that these are all past cartoons and not new ideas being shared.
For example:
Just check out this search on Bing and you will see the cartoon itself.
My vote is for a fake Gary Larson account here – what do you think?

I want to believe it is Gary Larson but alas I don’t believe so.
What is being tweeted is “the blueprint” or in many ways “the outline”
of each cartoon.
No professional cartoonist would share “the magic” of cartooning because
in many ways it would be a betrayal to both fans and his former syndicate.
I have to go along with fake; and, an unfair fake who would love to be as
bright as Gary Larson and this may be his/her way of doing so, simply describing
each cartoon.
But in a real “cartoon blueprint” the descriptions are much more detailed. This is
not the way Mr. Larson would describe his cartoon blueprints, I’m afraid.
Cheers,
Rick London
