Network Meter Sidebar Gadget

My Network

Today our featured item from the Windows 7 Personalization Gallery is the Network Meter.  This handy gadget monitors both wired and wireless connections and has the following features:

  • SSID
  • Signal Quality
  • Machine IP Address
  • External IP Address
  • IP Lookup (Google Maps)
  • Speed Test
  • Download Speeds
  • Total Bandwidth Usage
  • Shows Secure/Unsecure Connection State

This is one of my permanent desktop gadgets on Windows 7 because it has such great info in it and gives me a quick reference for network information.  Also handy to see network traffic movement since the Network Icon in the systray no longer shows network activity in Windows 7.
