The much anticipated new installment of the Halo Series goes Live Public Beta in the morning of May 3rd.
All you need to participate is an Xbox LIVE Gold account, the Halo 3: ODST campaign disc, and approximately 1.2GB of free hard drive space. The game officially comes out in the Fall of 2010 and can be pre-ordered here.
If you don’t have Halo: ODST expect codes to be given out in various media outlets in the game community. According to Bungie.net, twenty thousand people have already played the beta in the last few days, but by Monday morning expect a few million people playing the public beta.
Experience the fateful moments that forged the Halo legend. This is the story of Noble Team, a squad of heroic Spartan soldiers, and their final stand on planet Reach, humanity’s last line of defense between the terrifying Covenant and Earth. This darker story is echoed by grittier visuals amid a backdrop of massive, awe-inspiring environments. Characters, enemies, and environments are rendered in amazing detail by an all-new engine designed to deliver epic-scale encounters against the cunning and ruthless Covenant.
Feel free to leave your experience with the beta in the comments below.
