Microsoft will make 2.5 million downloads of Windows 7 Beta 1 available on the 9th of January for the general public. You can get more details here about grabbing it.
The big question is – how long will it take for 2.5 million downloads of Windows 7 to be wiped out?
My guess is before the weekend is over. What do you think?
Comment on this and lets see who gets the closest to it. There just might be a prize in it for whoever is on the mark or close to it.

I’ll give it until Wednesday at the absolute latest. As with any Microsoft product over 1gb, it will require the download of MS’ File Transfer Manager software, which is always amazingly slow.
Even more so given the inevitably high server load…
Monday, 3am, Brisbane Time, Australia
And then people will torrent it.
