Observed Tech PODCAST Episode 274 #OTP

This week I kick off the show by trying to explain my screaming lobster analogy from last week’s episode about the changes in Windows 10 over the last three years. Hopefully, I helped and did not further muddy up the waters! Then we had a quick rundown of Windows Insider and pre-release news of the past week including no client side fast ring build. That means the likelihood is high that we will see an update this week with a long list of updates since it will have been two weeks since Build 17713 was released to testers. Big ticket item this week was Microsoft’s 4th Quarter FY-18 earnings that were announced on Thursday. Suffice it to say the demise of Microsoft is huge fake news! Of course we have plenty of other news for you so make sure you listen all the way to the end so you can catch everything.

Observed Tech PODCAST Episode 270 #OTP

In this week’s show I don’t have a tech challenge to share but there is still plenty of news and headlines to dissect from this past week. I start off by catching up on the latest for the Windows Insider Program including the status of this past weeks new testing builds, more acquisition news from Microsoft, another free offering from GitHub, and support for military spouses from Microsoft. I also discuss Microsoft Edge on Mobile, new features for the Microsoft Store, Bing Visual Search, and updates to the Twitter PWA app on Windows 10. Of course we have all kinds of other news throughout the show so listen all the way to the end to hear everything. As always enjoy the show and thanks again for listening!

Observed Tech PODCAST Episode 243 #OTP

Welcome to Episode 243 of Observed Tech. It has taken two weeks to get this episode recorded so it is a mixture of the stuff I had previously earmarked for last week combined with new items from the past week. There is a lot of Windows 10 news – even more than normal – as we finally learn the launch date for the upcoming Windows 10 Fall Creators Update from Microsoft at IFA 2017. I also walk you through all of the testing build activity for Redstone 3 and 4 over the last two weeks. It is almost enough to fill its own episode of the show. Speaking of IFA 2017 – there was a lot of news on the hardware side of things for Windows 10 so we walk through those announcements as well. We even have a good collection of Xbox related news for you in this show. Of course, there is other news relating to apps and services from Microsoft for Windows 10 and plenty of other tidbits across a wide range of tech subjects throughout the show so be sure to listen all the way until the end. As always enjoy the show and thanks again for listening!

Observed.Tech PODCAST Episode 235 #OTP

Welcome to Episode 235 of Observed.Tech. This week I start the show off by sharing with you about my trip up to New York City for Lenovo’s transform event. Although the event was definitely focused on data centers and enterprise computing, there was certainly plenty to extrapolate about consumer tech including the 25 year anniversary of the ThinkPad brand, augmented reality, and PC as a Service (PCaaS). I then jump into plenty of Windows 10 news such as an easy method for sharing quick pieces of data between connected devices, hands on with the latest build of Windows 10 Redstone 3, and the release of Office 365 to Education with Microsoft Teams. Spread throughout the show you will also find mentions of other tidbits such as the prevailing view of Windows 10 S, typing with your voice using the new Dictate project from the Microsoft Garage, Microsoft’s anti-virus approach when it comes to third party vendors, and Amazon Web Services looking into mixed reality. As always enjoy the show and thanks again for listening!
