Windows 8 RTM Available for MSDN and TechNet Subscribers

As announced back at the beginning of August by the Microsoft Windows 8 Team the RTM final bits for Windows 8 are now available for immediate download from the MSDN and TechNet subscription packages.

So if you are a developer or IT Pro who will be testing the new operating system then head over to your appropriate subscription portal and start your downloads.

For a general idea of size the English Windows 8 x86 download weighs in at 2.45 GB and the x64 version is 3.34 GB.

This is a continued step in the availability of Windows 8 leading up to the General Availability on 26 October 2012. At that time the public will be able to download their own upgrade package for any current Windows installation for just $40 – one of the best upgrade offers ever from Microsoft for Windows.
