The other day I needed to download a fresh ISO of the Windows 8 Consumer Preview so I visited the download page and noticed something interesting as I wrote down the product key.
Now just for background Microsoft is using the same generic product key for all of the public Windows 8 Consumer Preview installations and by default the Consumer Preview is automatically activated when you install Windows 8 CP.
So with that said take a look at the generic product key that is on the Windows 8 CP ISO download page:
Product Key: DNJXJ-7XBW8-2378T-X22TX-BKG7J
Notice anything weird/strange/different/interesting?
Product Key: DNJXJ-7XBW8-2378T-X22TX-BKG7J
Do you think that BW8 stands for Building Windows 8?
My vote is yes – what about you?
