Return Your Facebook Timeline to Normal

facebooknamelogo

I just saw this on a friend’s wall on Facebook and wanted to share it here with everyone since it seems the overwhelming response to Facebook’s new timeline feature is pretty much yuck!

HOW TO GET YOUR FEED BACK TO NORMAL AGAIN. if you want your feed to go back to normal go to your account and go to notifications. At the top right is a box that says email frequency. Uncheck that box and your feed will show all the posts again. Then go to your home page and anything in the "Top Stories" click on the down arrow in the upper right and "unmark as top story" – now your newsfeed will be setup by timestamp rather than randomly picking "top stories."

I did have to unchoose a couple of top stories that were highlighted in my timeline but I had more than one at the time I made these changes.  Let us know how it works for you.

Thanks Tarun!

They have changed the option recently it seems – check out this screen shot – http://twitpic.com/7vtap3 – and select the Recent Stories First to get a normal newsfeed on Facebook.

You click on the title Sort on the right side of the news feed to get that option.

      Hope this helps clarify things.

well it works but you have to uncheck the “top stories” each time. It doesn’t remember that you just want them according to posting time EVERY time.
