Although we are still waiting on official word from Microsoft on release day pricing for the Kinect for Xbox 360 more clues are dropping that are making what we believe is the price valid.
The latest pre-order page to hit the web is actually more official than anything else we have seen so far. The Microsoft Store has put a Kinect for Xbox 360 pre-order page up and is accepting orders for the new hands free controller at $149.99.
That price also matches all the other pre-order pricing we have seen so far from GameStop and Amazon.com.
Now just like the other pre-order pages we have seen the Microsoft Store also offers a pre-order price guarantee:
Pre-orders are covered by our Pre-Order Price Guarantee and can be reviewed, updated, or canceled at any time before pre-order items are released.
Please see our Pre-Order Policy for more information.
The nice thing about their pre-order policy is that if the price goes up you will pay the lowest price at the time you made your order. Of course if it drops then you will pay the lowest price prior to it shipping on the release date.

Then you should wait for the combo deals to come out. That way you can get the new Xbox 360 and the Kinect in a bundle and likely save a few bucks.
Thanks for the tip, but before I get this I need to get an Xbox first…;)
