The latest rumors about Microsoft’s Xbox 360 Project Natal surfaced today in the form of price.
Edge has it on good authority that Microsoft’s midlife rejuvenator for the Xbox 360, Project Natal, will cost a cool 149 bucks when purchased as a standalone accessory, or $100 when bundled together with the $199 Xbox 360 Arcade console.
“Microsoft expects to sell millions and millions of Natal units in its first year on the market so you can expect the software launch line-up to target non-traditional gamers,” our source said. “A major marketing campaign will also play a key role in attracting and educating the expanded audience about Xbox 360’s controller-free revolution.”
While this is still a rumor I believe this price point is a bit high. I am sure Microsoft will throw in some games to to sweeten the deal, but the $99 price point seems to make more sense.
