Observed Tech PODCAST Episode 169 #OTP
Welcome to Episode 169 of Observed Tech. After a lot of talk last episode about whether or not Windows 10 would be free or not we do delve into that topic a little bit more in this show but not nearly as extensively compared to last week. Nothing has really changed so nothing to be worried about. I am sure Microsoft is not sitting in Redmond plotting different ways to screw over customers in this upgrade process. In other areas I talk about the breakup between Oracle’s JAVA install and the Ask Toolbar, Samsung deciding to disable Windows Update and not admitting it, a new vision and mission for Microsoft, Windows 10 Mobile Build 10149, changes to Family Safety, continuing as an Insider, counting down to Windows 10 RTM and then finally a wrap up about my experience this past weekend witnessing the loss of SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket which included Microsoft HoloLens as part of the cargo. Until next time enjoy the show and thanks for listening.
Observed Tech PODCAST Episode 168 #OTP
Welcome to Episode 168 of Observed Tech. Since we are just five weeks away from the final release of Windows 10 on 29 July the pace is picking up on all kinds of Windows 10 related news and subjects. In this episode I talk about the burning question “Free or Not Free” as it relates to the final version of Windows 10 for members of the Windows Insiders Program. A new blog post from Microsoft last week and a few tweaks they made to the wording over the weekend has nearly everyone in full freak out mode. Which brings us back to the question of whether or not Insiders will get a free copy of Windows 10. The answer is still yes because nothing has changed and I discuss that in this show. Until next time enjoy the show and thanks for listening.

Observed Tech PODCAST Episode 166 #OTP
Welcome to Episode 166 of Observed Tech. This is another one of those shows that is jam packed full of Windows 10 goodness since we have now seen two new builds in the last 9 days and three since late April. You will hear about my recent experience with Windows Hello and logging into my Windows 10 machines with my fingerprint and I have a lot of info relating to Microsoft Band and the prospect of a version 2 edition coming later this year. Scattered throughout the show are other items such as Cortana to iOS and Android, inking with the HP Spectre x360, using the BLU Win HD LTE as a daily driver and a Google I/O keynote that failed to mention Windows Phone or Microsoft once in three hours.
