Faith, Tech, and Space (Episode 6)

Welcome to the sixth episode of Faith, Tech, and Space PODCAST. I kick this show off talking about the latest in my faith formation including updates for online and local classes plus share a little about a local shrine here in Northeast Florida and some insight on the Season of Lent. In tech, we catch up with the latest for #WindowsInsiders and #EdgeInsiders as we review the latest builds and development progress. There are also headlines about the impact of the coronavirus plus news about Office, Android, Windows 10X, mobile app security, Apple iPhones not being for the bad guys in films, and Halo: Combat Evolved for PC. Wrapping up in space, I share details about my quick trip down to Cape Canaveral to watch the latest SpaceX Falcon 9 launch this past weekend and then discuss other news from NASA, Boeing, and Blue Origin. Welcome to our fifth episode of the podcast. In this show I discuss the latest in my formation studies specifically around the seven sacraments of the Catholic Church which we are studying this semester. On the tech front we finally got our first public peek at Windows 10X and it reveals a lot about the future of Windows plus we catch up on the latest for both the #WindowsInsider and #EdgeInsider preview programs. Observed Tech PODCAST Episode 293 #OTP

We kick this show off by talking about what was thought to be a privacy violation with Windows 10 and turned out to be inconsistent naming of data which is collected. Next up we touch base on the latest information coming out of Redmond around a potential Microsoft 365 Consumer based subscription and how that might be configured/set-up. On the Windows Insider front, we had a new build this week that continues Microsoft’s efforts to make the UI cleaner and more efficient for end users. Including among the changes is some A/B testing of a split between Search and Cortana on the Taskbar plus a new information bar header in Windows Settings. Of course, the show is full of other information, stories, and other tidbits so be sure to listen all the way until the end.

Observed Tech PODCAST Episode 279 #OTP

This week’s show begins with a stroll down memory lane to about 23 years ago when Windows 95 was released to the public. It corresponds with the early beginnings of this very website and where I am today. Next we talk about Windows Insidering with new Redstone 5 Fast Ring Builds, two of them this week once again, as we get closer to the public release of what is expected to be called the October 2018 Update. We also have news about a new Office 365/Microsoft 365 merged roadmap before Ignite next month and a bunch of Xbox related news from Gamescom in Europe this past week.
