Observed Tech PODCAST Episode 150 #OTP

Welcome to Episode 150. Ready for another show all about Windows 10? Well we spend some time with our special guest Brad Sams from Neowin.net talking about Windows 10, Microsoft and Brad’s start up Tracour. Brad joins us via Skype for our milestone 150th episode to talk about all of those things and more. He has a unique insider perspective of the changes we are seeing at Microsoft as they build this next version of Windows and adapt their business practices to reach their customers on whatever platform they use. This was a great way to mark my 150th episode of Observed Tech and I just want to say thanks again to Brad for joining me for it. Until next time enjoy the show and thanks for listening.

Observed Tech PODCAST Episode 131 #OTP

Welcome to Episode 131. In today’s show we talk about the news coming out of Microsoft’s annual TechEd event in Houston, some Xbox related news that is good or bad depending how you look at it and of course we cover a lot of other subjects as well. As the show Start’s Up the discussion begins with Tracour, a service developed by Brad Sams, which received an initial seed round of funding totaling $335K. You might recognize his name as a Managing Editor at NeoWin. Other items in Start Up include the fact that Microsoft reiterates no updates for Windows XP, PC Shipments are actually up, maybe anti-virus is not dead, harassing customers for negative reviews will get you booted from the Amazon Marketplace, a Sailor hacks their shipboard Navy network, Amazon selling fake and knockoff products, YouTube dumps user subscription RSS feeds and Google Glass launches in Beta for anyone in the US with $1,500. As always there are many areas we keep an eye on each week and they cover items relating to Microsoft, Windows, Windows Phone, Office, Security, Cloud, Internet Explorer, Services, Hardware, Apps, Xbox and Social Media. Bringing the show to a close in the Shut Down segment I discuss Trust in Ads, Google having your email even if you do not use Gmail, Windows 365 subscription based Windows, One Pass concept for Microsoft services/software, replacing a tablet with a Nokia Lumia 1520, Apple will offer multi-tasking in iOS8 and pieces of the retired US Shuttle program will boost the next stage of the manned launch program in the US. Until next time enjoy the show and thanks for listening.
