I also discuss Microsoft Edge on Mobile, new features for the Microsoft Store, Bing Visual Search, and updates to the Twitter PWA app on Windows 10. Welcome to Episode 243 of Observed Tech. It has taken two weeks to get this episode recorded so it is a mixture of the stuff I had previously earmarked for last week combined with new items from the past week. There is a lot of Windows 10 news – even more than normal – as we finally learn the launch date for the upcoming Windows 10 Fall Creators Update from Microsoft at IFA 2017. I also walk you through all of the testing build activity for Redstone 3 and 4 over the last two weeks. It is almost enough to fill its own episode of the show. Speaking of IFA 2017 – there was a lot of news on the hardware side of things for Windows 10 so we walk through those announcements as well. We even have a good collection of Xbox related news for you in this show. Of course, there is other news relating to apps and services from Microsoft for Windows 10 and plenty of other tidbits across a wide range of tech subjects throughout the show so be sure to listen all the way until the end. Welcome to Episode 197 of Observed Tech. As we approach our 200th episode of Observed Tech I share some plans to mark the milestone including a very cool domain name for the show and plans for a new show portal. Among some of the things covered in this episode I discuss leadership changes at the top of the Windows Insider Program, a move by users to ask the EFF to pursue an investigation into Windows 10, the return of Bank of America to the Windows platform and what you can do if there is not an app available on Windows 10 Mobile for certain services. I then touch on Xbox and next week’s E3 events out in Los Angeles and what we can expect from Microsoft as the huge entertainment show kicks off with the companies big press conference on Monday. COMPUTEX 2016 has wrapped but it saw a huge push in the area of PCs of all types including high end devices for gaming/virtual reality along with news relating to Windows 10 and Windows Holographic. There is also plenty of Windows 10 news and where things are moving as we get in the window leading up to the release of the Anniversary Update in July. I also share my thoughts on how builds might pan out over the next few weeks based on the past preparations for major Windows 10 releases last November and July. Observed Tech PODCAST Episode 191 #OTP

Welcome to Episode 191 of Observed Tech. The first week of March was busy with Windows 10 builds for PCs and mobile for testers along with a new Cumulative Update for the production build of the operating system on desktops. We heard about likely delays related to Windows 10 Redstone and that only one major Windows 10 update will be delivered this year with the second one, originally expected this fall, being pushed into 2017. There was also news around Xbox One including a new preview build that delivers bigger gaming parties and the ability to now order Xbox 360 Backwards Compatible games directly from the console. I also give details of a spat by one developer and Microsoft’s response to that and other discussions around Xbox’s future. Virtual and Augmented Reality are coming closer to reality with the opening of pre-orders of the HTC Vive and the Microsoft HoloLens and even McDonald’s is getting into the world of VR.
