Welcome to Episode 241 of Observed Tech. Although there were no new desktop builds this week for Windows Insiders, there were new builds to test for Windows 10 Mobile and the Xbox One team started testing their Fall Update with a huge update. I talk about the situation between Consumer Reports and Microsoft when it comes to reliability of the Surface Hardware line and Consumer Reports removal of the recommended label for the latest Surface hardware. Lots of information about the new build on Xbox One for that teams Fall Update and the revamped Xbox Insider Program with specifics on how to gain access to higher testing rings. You might recognize his name as a Managing Editor at NeoWin. Other items in Start Up include the fact that Microsoft reiterates no updates for Windows XP, PC Shipments are actually up, maybe anti-virus is not dead, harassing customers for negative reviews will get you booted from the Amazon Marketplace, a Sailor hacks their shipboard Navy network, Amazon selling fake and knockoff products, YouTube dumps user subscription RSS feeds and Google Glass launches in Beta for anyone in the US with $1,500.
