I recently had the opportunity to check out a new set of speakers from Logitech and these are very universal because you can connect to any device that supports Bluetooth.

In fact, you can connect up to two devices via Bluetooth and one additional source using the 3.5mm auxiliary input.

This set of speakers, called MX Sound by Logitech, do not include a separate woofer like many desktop speaker packages do but the sound from these are great and can make a quick, easy addition to any computer in your work space. The added bonus is the ability to connect your smartphone or tablet to them to provide an alternate source for input while still being plugged into your desktop computer using the included auxiliary cable.

As you will see in the gallery images below, this is a very sharp looking pair of speakers that are fairly compact and will integrate very well on your desk, a bookshelf, or out in your garage.

The back of the right hand speaker has the headphone, power, left speaker link, PC, and Auxiliary connections on it. In addition, the buttons for activating Bluetooth mode for pairing and the volume controls are behind the very nice cloth speaker cover. They aren’t physical buttons like other speakers but actually light up when you come within a few inches of the front of the speaker. Of course, since these support Bluetooth and an auxiliary port it is even feasible that you could connect these speakers to an Amazon Echo Dot or a Google Home Mini and get yourself much better sound for your digital assistant. Technically you could also pair these speakers with the Harman Kardon Invoke with Cortana but the sound is so good out of that device that it might just make things worse!
