I had a reader, Ondřej Zástěra, contact me over night to share a video he has put together that shows several ideas for the interface of the next version of Windows.

As many of you know Windows 8 has not had the best of receptions since its release in October 2012 despite efforts by Microsoft to enhance the interface for touch and keyboard users through a series of updates.

The Windows 8.1 update, which came out last fall, added more visual indicators in the Modern interface to help users find those functions and the upcoming Windows 8.1 Update 1 will add even more.

Rumors have been floating for a few months that the poor reception of Windows 8 could prompt Microsoft to release the next version of Windows, which we believe will be called Windows 9, earlier than normal.

So just like in the past users can have some great ideas on how to change and enhance the Windows user interface.
