The Microsoft Remote Desktop Virtualization (RDV) team recently updated the Remote Desktop Windows Store app and added features for those who run the app on Windows 8.1.
Here are the key feature improvements:
- On-Screen keyboard is available for those systems that have a touch screen
- The ability to manage remote app and desktop connections is now built into the app
- The updated version of the app can now dynamically adjust the resolution of the remote system when your local machines resolution changes or the Remote Desktop App is resized
The Remote Desktop App supports connections to the following systems:
- Windows Client
- Windows XP (SP3)
- Windows Vista
- Windows 7
- Windows 8
- Windows 8.1
- Windows Server
- Windows Server 2003
- Windows Server 2008
- Windows Server 2008 R2
- Windows Server 2012
- Windows Server 2012 R2
The app remains compatible for those on Windows 8.
