It was well worth getting up at 4 AM this morning and taking a drive to the coast to witness the partial solar eclipse that was occurring as the Sun rose in the East.
This theme will show you some pre-sunrise shots and then some with the actual eclipse in progress.
My personal favorite is the shot with the eclipsed Sun just about to disappear into a layer of clouds with the pelican in the foreground. Totally unplanned and a very fortuitous shot indeed!
