Today Microsoft had the formal launch announcement for their second generation Surface hardware.

The event, which was held in New York City, was not live streamed to the general public so a lot of information curated in this blog post is from tweets and other resources that were provided during and after the event.

Of course we will talk about all of this on the Observed Tech PODCAST later this week and of course on Twitter.
