Code on the Beach is a brand new software engineering conference to be held in North East Florida from August 16th to the 18th.

Conference organizers describe the event below:

You’ll experience intensive, high-quality sessions on software engineering topics from cloud to mobile to services, while being just steps from the beach and beachfront pool. Take a break between sessions and catch some sun or waves, or visit one of the great beach bars or restaurants nearby. Stay at a 4 Diamond luxury hotel and enjoy hospitality like you’ve never seen before at a conference, like included garment steaming and docent services. Bring your family so they can have a vacation and you can take out two birds with one stone. We’re redefining the software conference experience this August at Code on the Beach.

Now if you develop with Microsoft tools then you probably already know who Scott Hanselman is as the Principal Program Manager on the Web Tools team within Windows Azure. He is considered a trusted and influential voice in the .NET developer community and has a prolific social media presence on Twitter at @shanselman.

Scott is scheduled to present the keynote address on Saturday, August 17th from 8:00 – 9:30 AM and it will be called C# Saved My Marriage. In this talk he will discus C# and how it has impacted his personal life, enhanced his career, and continues to let him create apps for any platform, any store, anywhere, anytime.

There are over 30 other speakers scheduled to give presentations over the three day conference on a myriad of developer related sessions ranging from the cloud, games, Windows 8, funding, ASP.NET, startup strategies, Azure, SQL and Visual Studio.

Early bird registration is open right now and will save you $100 off the $299 conference fee if you sign up before 30 June 2013.
