Today in a Office 365 Service Alert to administrators Microsoft has announced new system requirements for installing Office 365:
- The current or immediately prior version of Internet Explorer; or the latest release of Chrome, Firefox, or Safari.
- Any version of Microsoft Office in mainstream support. Connecting with Office clients in extended support is not recommended, but Microsoft Customer Support and Service will provide commercially reasonable assistance.
- Any supported Windows or MacOS operating system.
As part of the same service alert email they are also directing administrators to review new Office 365 Privacy information:
As part of your Office 365 service upgrade, we recommend that you review the new Office 365 Privacy Statement and Office 365 Advanced Privacy Options document. These documents include important privacy and administrative control information concerning the new features introduced with the Office 365 service upgrade, including the Facebook Contact Sync feature.
That updated privacy information is on the office 365 Community Wiki at http://community.office365.com/en-us/wikis/upgrade/updated-privacy-information-for-enterprise.aspx
