The launch of Modern Warfare 3 has officially started worldwide just hours ago with the arrival of midnight in your time zone. Thousands of fans of this franchise have waited in lines to be one of the first to play the game for both the Xbox 360 and PS3.
Walmart will be throwing 2,700 Modern Warfare 3 midnight launch parties at various stores across the nation. Launch parties will include multiplayer tournaments, gifts and additional Call of Duty merchandise up for grabs.
Tournaments at stores in all 50 states will allow gamers to play the highly anticipated first-person shooter hours before the official launch.
Wedbush Morgan’s analyst Michael Pachter has chimed in on his sales estimates for Modern Warfare and expects the game to pull in $1.1 billion dollars in just under six weeks.
