The security folks at Microsoft have published the advance notice bulletin for this months Patch Tuesday which happens on 12 October 2011.
There are 16 bulletins being released for this months crop of patches and here is a summary of what to expect:
- 13 impact Windows
- 1 impacts Internet Explorer
- 1 impacts Windows Server
- 2 impact Office
- 4 are considered to have a critical impact
- 10 are important updates
- 2 are of moderate impact
Microsoft will update this bulletin with all the specific details about each patch after they release them to Windows Update on Tuesday.
