Microsoft Confirms Windows 8 Beta in February 2012

During an invite only event in San Francisco, CA earlier today Microsoft revealed plans for their Windows Store which will be available with Windows 8.  During that presentation they also confirmed the Windows 8 Beta date.

Microsoft Security Essentials Beta Goes Public

Windows 8 Path to RTM

At the Microsoft Build Conference in Anaheim, California today Steven Sinofsky, President of Microsoft’s Windows and Windows Live Divisions anchored the Windows 8 keynote address.  Several details about Windows 8 were shared and demoed including details relating to the Release to Manufacturing (RTM) and General Availability (GA) of Windows 8.

Windows Phone 7 Mango Build 7712 Observations

Windows Phone 7 developers were given access to a Beta Refresh of the Windows Phone 7 Mango OS build earlier today so they could continue development and testing of their apps.  This is build 7712 which is supposedly very close to the RTM build that was announced yesterday.
