Here is a good sign for ending the first day of availability for pre-orders of Microsoft’s new Surface RT tablet at http://Surface.com

It is interesting to see this happen so quickly because there has really been a mixed reaction through today about the entry level price for the Surface tablet and the fact that it did not include the Touch cover.

Of course, we do not know how many were built for pre-order because you know there are a certain amount that are sitting waiting to be sold at the brick and mortar Microsoft Stores as well as the holiday pop up stores.

The other aspect of this is the reality that we do not know what the term sold out means.  That has significance only if we know how many devices were available for pre-order and until we know that this achievement must be taken with a bit of salt.

What do you think?
