Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) Award Renewal for 2012

MVP_Horizontal_FullColor

For the third year in a row, Microsoft has recognized my community efforts over the past year with a renewal of my Windows Expert – Consumer MVP Award.

According to the MVP Award program blog there were 975 MVP Award notifications sent out today across multiple technical communities in the program.  A total of 144 in that group received their award for the first time so a special congratulations to each of them as well.

For those of you who know me I would do the things I do in technology because I am a fan and geek – not because of an award – and I had the same attitude while on active duty in the U.S. Navy.  As with any award though it is always humbling and comes thanks to the efforts and support of others.  In the Navy it was the fine Sailors I had the chance to work for and with this award it is my dear wife’s patience with my geekiness as she labels it.

Many thanks also to my MVP Lead – Jake Grey – who has been a great source of support over these last two years and I am sure for the next one in front of us.
