Microsoft has just launched a new online troubleshooting service called Answer Desk. The service offers 24/7 support for Microsoft products. Customers are either charged by the hour or by the service that they request.
Answer Desk is a premium service provided by Microsoft to give you the most convenient, friendly and easy way to get the most out of your PC.
Each Answer Desk session starts with a free online chat or over the phone with an Answer Desk support tech. If the free session isn’t sufficient to answer your questions, you can get additional troubleshooting for a fee.
Paid services start at $49 for an hour of one-on-one Windows or Office training, $99 for an hour of Windows or Office troubleshooting, $99 for two hours of virus removal and malware protection, or $99 for two hours of PC performance tuning. The support tech remotely controls your PC to perform the task.
Answer Desk Answer Techs are highly trained, and qualified in their domain of knowledge, including popular software such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
If the user needs assistance at a later date, the service creates a history that allows users to reconnect with techs they’ve worked with before to get help from someone familiar with the troubleshooting history.
