Xbox Live Gold Subscription Rates Going Up This November

xboxlivelogo

In a little less than two months from now the rates for certain Xbox Live Gold Membership subscriptions will head upwards in Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom and the United States.

This past weekend, Xbox Live’s Major Nelson shared where those increases are going to hit and how much they will be:

US Current

1 Month – $7.99
3 Month – $19.99
12 Month – $49.99
01 Nov 2010

1 Month – $9.99
3 Month – $24.99
12 Month – $59.99
UK 1 Month – £4.99 1 Month – £5.99
Canada 1 Month – $8.99 CAD 1 Month – $9.99 CAD
Mexico 12 Month – 499 Pesos 12 Month – 599 Pesos

According to his posting these are the only subscriptions being marked up – anything else that is available will remain at its current pricing.

Although this can be considered bad news by many they are offering an olive branch in the form of a discounted 12 month Gold subscription for $39.99, which is a savings of $20 off the new pricing shown above on the new US 12 month subscription pricing which begins 01 November.  This offer is only good in the US and expires on 31 October 2010.

You can read more about it here.

So how do you feel about this price increase?  Is the service you get on Xbox Live Gold worth the cost it is going up to on 01 November 2010?
