Kip - thanks for the update and suggestion on some possible fixes.

I hope everyone gets a chance to check these options out - otherwise I recommend you all use the http://www.windowslivehelp.com/forums.aspx?productid=1 forum and post directly to Hotmail support engineers the issues you are having to see if they can provide a direct remedy.

Not sure what is causing the view source error, I read a mention in the WL Solutions Center (I didn't confirm this) that Hotmail now requires the entire email to load before you can view the source (making it somewhat less than useful), have you opened the email in Hotmail?

In general, if you're having problems with Hotmail (a few are having some quite serious issues, unable to reply to email etc), as a workaround if you can use an offline mail reader such as Windows Live Mail you should be able to get to all your mail (and view source)

Alan,

I am sorry to hear your having some issues. I certainly do not recommend you wait for this to resolve or be fixed if it is costing you money.

I am sure Mircosoft will get this sorted out as anything that rolls out to this many people is going to encounter issues simply because of the variety of user systems.

However, like I said, do not wait for a fix to take care of things that cost you money.

I am trying to
1. send my timesheet and then my invoice to my agent and the recent changes to hotmail will not let me attach anything.
2. When I try to create a new mail, the addresses dont come up automatically as they used to.
3. The stringing of sent and recieved emails together may seem like a nice feature but it is not what I want.
4. Time is money to me in these cases and I did not ask for these changes to be imposed.
5. As a person working in IT I find this process very poor and
6. I will have to switch very quickly to another email provider.

Sara - sorry to hear your having problems as well. They certainly do not make these changes to create issues for folks but there is also no doubt that changes like this will cause problems for some.

Let me send a note to my MVP Lead and ask them to take a look at the issue.

Look for more info here later.

I am having a problem with getting the message source – I am using ie and cleared cookies etc – I am getting the same error message – unable to get messagesource.aspx from SN120w.mail.live.com – Why do they impose these changes and make things more difficult? I now cannot find the source of scams. pishing etc
I see this seems to be a common problem are there any remedies or patches? using windows7 ie - all updated very frustrated with this !
